There are five keys to business growth. They are in fact simple, but more often than not, they are missed or even ignored. They are the simple solutions to easier, faster and better business growth, that uncomplicates the entire process.
Tools and processes (structure) ensure that things are done, that often get overlooked, because we get business doing "stuff"! Focus on what's important, not on what's not. Its ideally thought of as a machine. A structured and replicatable process. Leads go in, sales come out!
Past experience is the best way to learn. What has worked, and what didn't, is the easy way to build a business. Yes, you could work it out yourself, and that could take ten plus years, but why bother, if it's been done before, and it works, then just repeat, and then scale.
80% of businesses fail in the first five years, and the most common component is that they didn't have a plan. (It's not the only reason)! Businesses don't plan because they done know how, can't be bothered, or it's just too hard. So, take the "hard" part out. Make it simple, quick and do it on one page, then look at it daily. We have three one-page plans that you put on your wall. Business, financial and marketing one-page plans.
Don't delay! Do it now. Ideas that you have sitting in your head can hang around for years, or even never get started. Ideas to change and grow might never happen. It doesn't take ten years to build a great business, you can do it in 12 months. But the key is "move forward now"!
Are we on track? 99% of businesses never ask that question, and even if they did, it would probably be, "on track compared to what"? Review is a key, looking at what's going on, what works, what doesn't (who doesn't), and where the money is. Sales, expenses, cashflow, and profit. Where do the leads come from, what marketing works, what doesn't, and what do you need to do more of.
